Current Openings

Camp Counselor

Camp hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday; counselor hours vary due to responsibilities.  Position runs from mid June through August 9th.  (Subject to change if budget modified).  Each counselor hired will participate in mandatory counselor training before the first day of camp.  Applicant must pass a First Aid/CPR class and a successful background check.  Pay range is minimum wage to $10 per hour.

Qualification include one year or more experience working with youth, and be able to work out doors. Full job description available at the Parks and Recreation Office.  Applications can be downloaded  below or picked up at Town Hall and submitted to the Parks and Recreation Office. EOE

Youth Center Assistant I

Part-time (Approx 9 hours per week from September to June), no benefits. $11.25/hr. To assist with municipal after-school program. Must be atleast 18 years of age. Successful completion of background check and post-hire physical and drug screening are conditions of employment. Please submit a letter of interest and resume to the Director of Youth Services, Montville Town Hall, 310 Norwich-NL Turnpike, Uncasville, CT 06382.

Laboratory Operator

The Town will have an opening for the position of Laboratory Operator in the WPCA Department.  40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:00 p.m., initially during training – schedule subject to change.  Interested and qualified employees must submit a letter of interest to Mayor Ronald K. McDaniel no later than close of business (4:30 p.m.) on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. EOE

Wage dependent on experience and Connecticut DEEP Wastewater/Wastewater Laboratory Certification – Salary range $18.07 - $24.23 per hour, Class III certification preferred.

General Statement of Duties:  Performs collection and standardized laboratory testing of various wastewater samples in the Water Pollution Control Facilities (WPCF), wastewater collection system and water distribution systems required by state and federal regulations.

 Seasonal (Summer) Position Available - WPCA

Job Duties:  Painting & grounds maintenance.
Hours:  Generally 7AM-3PM, Monday - Friday.
$10.00/hour.
