Transfer Station Attendant II

 

Full-time position – days on Sun/Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat.  Includes benefits.  $16.91/hour.   Responsibilities include but not limited to:  screening incoming waste and greeting/directing customers to appropriate locations; operating tools and equipment; calculating and collecting applicable fees when appropriate.  Full job description available in the Mayor’s Office.  Must have valid State driver’s license.  Successful completion of background check and post-hire physical and drug screening are conditions of employment.  Please submit an application to the Mayor’s Office, Montville Town Hall, 310 Norwich-NL Turnpike, Uncasville, CT 06382.   Applications can be picked up in Mayor’s office or downloaded from website.  Job will be posted until 4:30pm on February 23, 2016.   EOE 

 

Assessor Clerk III 

Assessor’s Office – $19.98/hr – 40 hours Monday through Friday – 8:00AM-4:30PM.  Union position with nefits.                                                                  

Assists the Assessor in performing activities and administers the statutory responsibilities of the Assessor’s Office.  This includes a variety of routine and complex technical field and office work in the appraisal of all commercial, residential, motor vehicles and/or personal property.   

Minimum Qualifications: 

(A)  Graduation from high school or GED equivalent plus one (1) years progressively responsible experience in real estate appraisal work plus one CCMA certified assessor course;

(B)   Graduation from high school or GED equivalent plus (2) years progressively responsible experience in real estate appraisal work;

(C)  Or an equivalent combination of experience and training. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS – Must have the ability to read and understand legal descriptions and appraisal manuals; ability to accurate appraise real and personal property; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. 

Must have valid State of CT driver’s license, or ability to obtain one.

Transfer Station Attendants – $9.15/hr Per Diem Position – Public Works – Weekend availability a must, occasional fill–in on weekdays.Clean CT driver’s license and background, ability to interact with courtesy and respect.
