The Town Clerk's Office issues the following licenses:
- Fishing
- Hunting
- Trapping
- Dog Licenses
- Marriage Licenses
- Civil Unions
Dog licenses are required for residents only. Residents must bring in a spay or neuter certificate
from the veterinarian as well as a current rabies certificate. The license is valid from July 1st thru
June 30th of the following year.
Marriage licenses are required for couples having wedding ceremonies within the Town of
Montville. Marriage licenses can be obtained in the town of occurrence.
The State of Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection has implemented an automated sports licensing system where Connecticut residents can obtain their sports licenses and permits through the DEP website.
