Mayor Jaskiewicz has lived in Montville for 39 years with his wife, Beverly. They have two children, Kevin and Kim, and a granddaughter, Brielle. He worked at Electric Boat for 38 years in supervisory positions, and was a union official for eight years.

Elected to his first term on the Town Council in 1997, he served as liaison to the Parks and Recreation commission, and on the Finance Committee for six years. In his second term, he was elected Chairman of the Town Council, and served as Chairman of the Finance Committee.
