Contact This Department

The primary function of the Social Services Office is to provide immediate assistance and crisis intervention for Montville residents.  The Department partners with other agencies to provide heating assistance, utility services, and food assistance making access and support easier for these services for all of our residents. Additional services include: state app. assistance, resource and referrals, job search, interview attire, computer services and more. Mental Health and Support Group Programs are available once a week for our residents, free of charge through grant funding. Located in the Social Services Building for every day access is the food pantry, hygiene bank, and clothing bank. Seasonal assistance provides winter hats, mittens, scarves, and gloves, along with summertime attire for warm months.

Some additional programs include Holiday Food and Toy / Gift Baskets, back to school Backpacks filled with school items, Easter Baskets, Prom Program, and more.

All programs offered within this Department are FREE to our Montville residents.

The Montville Community Booklet outlines many of the additional programs offer for our low-income, no-income, in crisis or facing immediate hardship residents.
