Dog Shelter (Pound)

The Town maintains a kennel for lost, abandoned, and impounded dogs at the Public Works complex on Maple Avenue. Please call (860) 848-3529 if you are looking for your pet, or to adopt a new one who needs a loving home.

In addition to professional enforcement of the law, Animal Control Officer Christian Martel and her assistants strive to provide a safe and happy interim "home" for these animals.

Donations of blankets, toys and treats come in throughout the year and are always welcome. 

The Town is very proud to boast of its residents' commitment to the comfort and top-notch care of the pets that wind up at our pound.
