FEMA Recovery Center Opens in Norwich Post Hurricane Relief

FEMA recently opened a Disaster Recovery Center in New London County to assist Connecticut residents who were impacted by the damage caused when Hurricane Ida brought heavy rain and storm conditions to the state in early September.

The center is located at Three Rivers Community College at 574 New London Turnpike in Norwich. It is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on weekends. Aid is also available in-person on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Norwich Fire Station at 10 North Thames Street in Norwich. Aid can also be found at 800-621-3362 from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. seven days a week.

Individuals in Fairfield and New London Counties can apply for disaster assistance if they experienced damage during the storm. More information and an online application form are available at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/.
