Government
The Town of Montville is governed under the Town Council/Mayor form of government. The Mayor serves as the Chief Executive Officer and the Town Council acts as the governing body. Council members are elected biennially for two year terms. Within the Town Council there are standing committees and liaison appointments to various boards and commissions.
The Mayor is elected for a four year term. A wide variety of boards and commissions assist with the governance of specific areas of municipal government, including Task Specific Committees and Representatives to Regional Agencies.
