POCD, Housing Plan and Regulatory Updates

Overview

Commencing in July 2026, the Town is working towards a comprehensive regulatory and policy update to accomplish the following:

  1. Establish a new Plan of Conservation and Development to guide the Town’s next 10+ years.
  2. Formulate a Housing Plan to specifically guide housing growth based upon developable land area, infrastructure and preferred future patterns of development.
  3. Create new Zoning Regulations to achieve the objectives outlined in the POCD and Housing Plan and address current legislative requirements and opportunities while implementing modern and appropriate planning tools.
  4. Create new Subdivision Regulations.

This work is expected to be completed by March 2028.

More information will be provided as this effort moves forward. Public engagement workshops will take place seeking input from the community.
