Notary Services

As a courtesy to the citizens of Montville the Town Clerk's Office offers free notarization for Montville residents.

A $5.00 fee is charged for non residents. 

Notary Services are available during regular office hours no appointment is necessary, Mon-Fri 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

• The following documents cannot be notarized by the Town Clerk's Office:
• Wills, Power of Attorney Forms, I-9 employment verifications, all documents in a foreign language unless translated on the document, any document that will be recorded on the Town of Montville land records.
• Notary Public Commissions are recorded in the Notaries Town of Residence, the fee is $20.00.
• Renewal Commission Recording:  $20.00
